Typically the applicant will have between 2 and 6 years experience, in a role of this nature.Job Responsibilities:To perform Oracle database administration.To perform system upgrades, both internal to aquila and for clients, to build environments.To perform various operational tasks, for example the checking of backups, and scheduling and performing DR tests.To perform a technical role within specific projects, for example the implementation of Oracle iAS.
Requirement to Travel:Travelling to client sites is an essential requirement of the job.Job Description:The job holder is experienced in and conducts Oracle Database Administration including widespread use of SQL, instance startup and shutdown, managing database users (set up, creating synonyms, granting privileges), storage management (for example, tables, indexes)
Work Experience - Essential:Knowledge of Oracle administration,Two years or more experience in general systems administration Work Experience - Desirable:Knowledge of UNIX (IBM AIX and Linux),Knowledge of networking, Knowledge of MS Windows and a wide range of general IT skills.
